Brendan is ecstatic to be playing Gary in the original cast of Sing Street. Following it’s sold out world premiere at New York Theatre Workshop, Sing Street is headed to Broadway this spring.

Sing Street begins previews at the Lyceum Theatre March 26th, 2020 and officially opens on April 19th, 2020.

Sing Street at New York Theatre Workshop

Brendan is ecstatic to be a part of the original cast of Sing Street, a new musical premiering Off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop this December.

Sing Street is in previews from November 25th to December 15th and opens on December 16th, 2019 as a part of New York Theatre Workshop’s 2019/2020 season.

A final extension of the run was announced before previews began—the show now runs until January 26th!

Sing Street is based on the critically acclaimed film by John Carney. The musical is directed by Tony-winner Rebecca Taichman, with a book by Tony-winner Enda Walsh, music by Gary Clark and John Carney, Music Supervision, Arrangements, & Orchestrations by Tony-winner Martin Lowe, Choreography by Emmy-nominee Sonya Tayeh, Costume & Scenic Designs by Tony-winner Bob Crowley, Lighting Design by Tony-winner Christopher Akerlind, Sound Design by Tony-winner Darron L. West.

Winston Smith is a low-ranking member of the ruling Party in the nation of Oceania. Everywhere Winston goes, the Party watches him through telescreens.  Everywhere he looks he sees the face of the Party’s seemingly omniscient leader —Big Brother. The Party controls everything in Oceania, even the people’s history and language.  Even thinking rebellious thoughts is illegal.  Winston dares to express his thoughts in a diary even though he knows — big brother is watching.

Brendan has just received his first IRNE Award Nomination for his performance as Arpad Laszlo in She Loves Me at Greater Boston Stage Company!

The awards ceremony will be held on April 23rd, 2018.
